Today I told myself “let’s update”. And I told myself “let’s see what I posted the last time”. And I told myself “let’s go to my site using the button in my bookmark bar”.

That’s when I realized the bookmark isn’t there anymore. And I realized how boring this website must’ve been lately, considering not even its owner has it bookmarked.

What has happened all this time? Let me think.

¿Nos conocemos? didn’t win any prizes at the Baumann Festival. But I’m happy, because what’s important is to participate. Nah, bullshit. Thanks to the friends who came to see it at the festival in Terrassa.
I am now on my last year of university. Classes end in February, and from then on the fun is all about the final project.

Will I get a final project? That’s the big question. Those projects are selected by a group of wonderfully smart and widely respected guys with great taste (wink wink nudge nudge). They’ll choose 10-12 projects among those delivered by 80 students. I had several screenplays (most of them recycled from other years) in mind, but the frontrunner was El corto de Bruce (there’s an early version here in the site).

Last week, my teacher told me that Bruce would never go through the initial selection, as it was too long and complicated. I’d have appreciated being told that earlier, but whatever. I’ve got a new screenplay now, and I actually like it better. I’ve got some things to change, since apparently it’s a requisite to have love or friendship in it.

Project aside, there’s little more to say. I’ve got a lot of unfinished things to finish. The New York shorts, the graphic adventure… Give it time.

So now, each and every one of you, do what you can to help me get that project selected. May the religious pray and the violent eliminate my competitors. Don’t fail me.

I promise to update a little bit more often, maybe even to the point of bookmarking myself again.
